Jammu, Aug 07 (KNO): Amid possibilities of elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the political activities in the region have ramped up. In a significant move, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohan Lal, a 1999 batch KPS officer, has tendered his resignation to the J&K Home Department, signalling his intent to join the electoral fray. Sources reveal that Mohan Lal is currently in discussions with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), aiming to secure a nomination to contest from the Schedule Caste reserved Akhnoor assembly seat. The BJP is reportedly considering fielding the seasoned police official, recognizing his potential to strengthen their position in the upcoming assembly elections.
